then this combination is called combination reaction.

Hydrogen and oxygen combines and form water.

Chemically:

2 H₂  + O₂   =  >  2 H₂ O

Type of combination reaction:

Element-element :  

When two or more elements combine and form new single products.

e.g.   C + O₂  = > CO₂

Element-compound:

When one element combine with a compound and form new single

product.

e.g.   2 SO₂  + O₂  = >  2 SO₃

Compound-compound:

When two compound combine each other and forms new single product.

e.g.  CaO + H₂ O  = >  Ca ( OH ) ₂
