What is meant by destarched plant? how can it be destarched ?

Destarching occurs when part of a plant is "deprived of starch, as by translocation". It is also the process of eliminating starch reserves in a plant for experiments concerning photosynthesis.Due to the lack of photosynthesis in this place, stored starch is used up, thus the plant is destarched.

➡DESTARCHED PLANT :- a destarched plant is one whose entire starch have been removed from its leaves or who leaves have been made free from starch , by keeping it in a dark room for 24 to 48 hours.

➡as the definition says , a plant can be DESTARCHED by keeping the particular plant in a dark room , devoid of any light so that the plant cannot do photosynthesis and make starch .
