Factorizing is expressing a polynomial with its zeros. Not all polynomials can be factorized but there is always a field containing the ring the polynomial was over where you can factorize all polynomials. E.g. the polynomial x^2+1 has no zeros in the real numbers but in the complex you can factorize it as (x-i)(x+i).
