➡ The body or its parts will be preserved and leave the impression .

➡For example dead insect that catch in mud it will not decompose quickly the mud will eventually hard and and retain the Impressions of the body parts of the insect

➡ Thus the fossils are the remains of Impressions of the Dead animals and plants that lived in a remote past .

➡Fossil occur in sedimentary rocks they may also be found in Amber , snow they provide direct evidence of evolution .
