Hi mate

Friction is nothing but generally the opposing force to the movement of one surface over the other . Microscopically, surfaces have irregularities, unevenness, roughness and when these two surfaces abrade or move with each other in contact, these roughness, irregularities etc do not allow the smooth and free movement and offer the resistance force called the friction . The one benefit of friction in our life is that we are able to walk on due to friction. I think this much information will suffice the purpose
