Gully erosion is caused by water and causes land/soil erosion. It is also caused because of less trees which makes it easy for there water to cut through it as there are not roots to limit it.
The running water cuts through the clayey soils and makes deep channels which are called as gullies. U can remember it by the Hindi word gully which means a crowded kinda houses.
It causes the land unfit for cultivation.
