what is meant by homologous chromosomes and hetrologous chromosomes

Homologous chromosomes contain the same genes in the same loci. Heterologous chromosomes are chromosomes present on different loci which cannot undergo genetic recombination. During mitosis and meiosis, homologous chromosomes can undergo genetic recombination to produce different genes
