step 1 - longest carbon chain has 8 carbons, so it is called a octane
step 2 - at carbon numbered 4, you have 3 more carbons attached to it, so it is a PROPYL group.
step 3 - in that 3 carbons, 1st carbon divides into 2 more carbons, so it is called a secondary carbon or iso carbon.
step 4 - so that dividing carbon is called a secondary propyl or isopropyl group.
step 5 - when naming the entire structure you count the main structure carbons which have more attachments to it.
step 6 - at carbon 4 and at carbon 5 there are isopropyl or secondary propyl groups attached.
step 7 - it can be called as 4-isopropyl.
