Jet streams are a narrow belt of high altitude westerly winds in the troposphere . they affect the climate of India it create a depression during the monsoon as well as October November month jet stream or fast flowing winds blowing in narrow zone in the upper atmosphere in winters subtropical westerly jet stream bring rain to the western part in India .
