The discharge of nuclear industry is nuclear waste e.g containers of radio active products. 

The emit radio active radiation that has an adverse effect on every living creature

As this radio active stuff can not be destroyed by any method , the waste is buried deep inside the earth surface.

Nuclear waste are the radioactive and extremely toxic byproducts of nuclear industries.
Nuclear watse can have drastically bad effects on life causing cancerous growth, genetic problems and TB.
The disposal of nuclear waste is categorized into low level , intermediate and high level waste. The low level and the intermediate level are buried close to the surface as this disposal is similar to normal municipal waste. The high level wastes are buried deep underground in engineered facilities.
