percolation means passing down of water through something at particular period of time this is called percolation rate like soil percolation like a particular type of soil is taken and then water is added to it when the water slowly comes down to the base and then get dropped from the soil it is said to be percolated through the soil and the other amount of water which is added and the time taken by to calculate when calculated is called percolation rate.
