Proton is a positively charged sub atomic particle. It presents in nucleus of an atom.

It has mass 1.67262 × 10^-27

& charge +1.6022×10^-19

Proton and neutron are collectively responsible for atomic mass of an atom.

Also no. of proton = no. of electron i.e. it is responsible for atomic mass too.
