  • Protoplasm contains both organic and inorganic matter like water, salts, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates, etc. Whereas cytoplasm is the matter present between cell membrane and the nucleus which contains the cytosol, organelles... If we divide the cell roughly it is composed of cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus.
