Quit India movement or Bharat Chhodo Andolan was a civil disobedience movement. In August 1942 Gandhiji launched the Quit India movement .Gandhi ji , Nehru and many other leaders from Congress were arrested by the british government.  Disorderly and non-violent demonstrations took place throughout the country in the following days.The 'Quit India' movement, more than anything, united the Indian people to fight against British rule.
