malleability is the property by which a substance can be drawn into thin sheets. ductility refers to the ability of a substance to be made into ducts(simply wires).

1) Malleable : The metals which can be beaten into thin sheets with a hammer known as malleable metals.
ex: gold annd silver are best malleable metals.
therefore aluminium sheets are used for packaging food products etc.

2) Ductile: The metals which can be drawn or streached into thin wires easily are known as ductile metals.
ex: Gold is best ductile metal .
1 gm of gold can be drawn into a thin wire about 2 kms.
