Dear Students,
◆ Secondary valency -
- Secondary valency is nothing but the co-ordination number of central metal atom/ion.
- Secondary valency is satisfied by ligands which can be either negative ions or neutral molecules.
- For example in co-ordination compound K4[Fe(CN)6], secondary valency is 6 which is satisfied by CN ligand.
Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
