It means that the upper layer soil which is fertile is removed or washed away due to rain and all the nutrients is contained by the uppermost layer and it is very important !!

Soil erosion is when the soil “moves” from where it is supposed to be. There is wind erosion when, you guessed it, the wind blows soil from where it was. Probably the most common erosion is caused by water. Soil erosion is defined as the wearing away of topsoil. Topsoil is the top layer of soil.
