Fuels are those substances that can normally burn in the presence of oxygen to give large amount of heat and energy.
Calorific Value of Fuel is the amount of heat energy given out when one gram of the fuel is completely burnt in the presence of oxygen. More the calorific value better is the fuel because more amount of heat energy is produced in the environment with the same quantity of fuel.
The fuels are in the following order :
LPG ≤ Kerosene ≤ Coal
