What is meant by the freedom of expression ? What in your veiw would be a reasonable restrictions on the freedom?give examples

Freedom of expression means the freedom of a person to express his emotions, anger,happiness etc by words,pictures, art or cartoons etc. As per the recent verdict in Supreme court, a judgement was delivered saying a person's freedom of expression cesses when it encroaches into others freedom. i.e. I can say anything which I think is correct but it must not defame or restrict the other persons right for dignitary life.
