what is meant by the statement "rest and motion are relative terms"? give xamples to show this plzzz help me :(

Yeah Rest and motion are interrelated Because :

@We cant say anytime whether it is rest or motion 

@Because if u think u r in not motion ummmm like u do nothing but u still in the motion as earth rotates everytime with any particular speed 

@Also when u r sitting in a bus u see trees are moving 

@ When  u  r in train and if u see any person sitting in it u see it is in rest but u r still in motion as the train is in motion .

Yes it is possible .An object is in the state of motion with respect to set of objects but maybe in the state of rest with respect to other set of objects.For example when we are inside a moving bus and look outside the bus we observe that the surrounding area is moving .Now if the another person is standing out side observes us he/she will find us in motion .Now if we look toward the passengers sitting next to us we will find him/her in state of rest . So it is the observer and the surrounding that decides wether the given object is at rest or in motion . That is why rest and motion are always relative. It also goes same for train , car , etc.
