Hello Dost ☺

Your Answer :

Bond order is defined as one half of the difference between the number of electrons present in the bonding and anti-bonding orbitals of a molecule. If Na is equal to the number of electrons in an anti-bonding orbital, then Nb is equal to the number of electrons in a bonding orbital.

Bond order = 1/2 ( Nb - Na )

bond order is a measurement of the number of electrons involved in bonds between two atoms in a molecule .it is used as an indicator of the stability of a chemical bond.most of the time bond order is equal to the number of bonds between the two atoms. exceptions occur when the molecules contains antibonding orbitals.
