What is meant by the term Guillotine??

kavya005: Okay... A guillotine is a killing device made by Dr. Guillotin, after whom the device is made. This killing device consisted of 2 poles and a blade suspended between these poles. A rope would keep the blade in place. When the rope is released, the blade would obviously fall down, where the victim's head would be positioned, thus beheading the victim
kavya005: It was used famously during the French Revolution
kavya005: Marie Antoniette, wife of Louis XVI was also guillotined
mahekvats: Ya u r right. thanks
kavya005: Anytime ^-^
