Obnoxious - means some one or something is -  highly objectionable, annoying, attracting undue attention, irritate , disturb.          Antonym is Delightful.
The obnoxious little brats irritate me every day.
Mitigate :  means  reduce the effect of something, to make something milder
One can do a lot of things to mitigate risks, but perhaps one cannot
eliminate them (risks).  Government should do a lot of things to
                       mitigate the water shortage problem.
culminate :  reaching a highest point of performance,  reaching the final stage of doing
something,   some towers culminate in a pyramidal shape.  The various
functions and celebrations culminate in a classical dance or music program.
