an urban area is the area in whichwe can see increase in the no.of people whn compared with rural areas. urban areas are nothining but towns and cities which are composed of high infrastructure, full job opportunities, industrialised. by attracting to these, people migrate to urban areas by leaving the rural areas which are at countryside. this is called urbanisation.
