melamine plastic is a type of thermosetting plastic. thermsetting plastic are those plastic which can't be remoulded or can be melted by heating.

because of this advantage, it is used for making switch boards, cooking utensils etc. so that it won't be melted while heating.

we can easily cook food by using this type of plastic. and we know that electricity produces heat, so melamine (thermosetting) plastic is used.
