Answer : The correct option is, (b) 1% sucrose solution

Explanation :

Formula used for Elevation in boiling point :

\Delta T_b=k_b\times m=k_b\times \frac{w_2}{M\times w_1}

where,

\DeltaT_b = change in boiling point

k_b = boiling point constant

m = molality

w_1 = mass of solvent

w_2 = mass of solute

M = molar mass of solute

As per question, we conclude that the percent of the given solution are same. So, the boiling point depends only on the molar mass of solute and elevation in boiling point is inversely proportional to the molar mass of solute. That means lower the molar mass of the solute, higher will be the boiling point and higher the molar mass of solute, lower will be the boiling point.

The molar mass of NaCl = 58.44 g/mole

The molar mass of sucrose = 342.3 g/mole

The molar mass of glucose = 180.15 g/mole

The molar mass of urea = 60.06 g/mole

From the given options, sucrose has higher molar mass. So, sucrose possess the lowest boiling point.

Hence , the correct option is, (b) 1% sucrose solution
