Dynamic RAM (DRAM) and static RAM (SRAM) chips are the "working storage" in every computer. DRAM is the main memory in a computer and SRAM is used for high-speed caches and buffers. Both types are "byte addressable," which means that data can be read and written one byte at a time.

In simple language where we install software. And if i want to save some data then where it will be saved so we make memory so save data.

Memory is nothing but a form of transistors. when we save some data then it change the form of electrons in transistor and when we get data it actually the form of electrons.


basically we use two types of memory 
primary memory(RAM)
 secondary memory (hard disk)
