The reproductive phase of life begins at puberty (10 to 12 years of age). and generally lasts with the approximately age of 45 to 50 years of age.The ova begins to mature with the one set of puberty. One ovum matured and it start released by one of the ovaries once in about 28 to 30 days. During this period, the wall of uterus gets thickned so as to recieve the egg, in case it gets fertilised it begins to develop. This results in pregnency. If fertilisation does not occur ,the released egg, and the thickened linning along with blood vessels are shed off. This cause bleedin in women which is called mensturation. Mensturation occurs once in about 28 to 30 days. And the time period of this cycle is from the age of 10 - 12 years to 45 - 50 years of age. This time period is called menstural cycle.
