The uterus prepares itself to receive the egg fpr fertilisation and it lining thickens. But if egg is not fertilised by a sperm then the lining breaks and comes out of vagina through blood and mucous. The cycle repeats itself every 28 days and is called menstrual cycle.

Changes that take place are :-
• Change in pitch of voice
•Widening of pelvis muscle
•Start of menstrual cycle
•Development of breasts
•Appearance of pubic hair
