On the walls of uterus a spongy wall of blood is made for the protection of the baby. When the egg is not fertilised this wall breaks down and it comes out in the way of blood. this happens after every 28 days. this is known as menstruation cycle.

◉Hey mate here is yr answer ------>

The mensturation cycle is a 28 day cycle..

ψ The menstrual phase 1-4 th day..

☆The ovary walls shed the vessels and muscular and tissue substances with the discharge of blood and mucus.

ψ The Follicular phase

☆The follicle develops and finally forms the Grafiaan follicle.

ψ The ovulatory phase 14 - 16 th day

☆The follicle ruptures releasing the egg..
The egg then either gets fertilised by sperm and implanted in uterus or is wasted.

ψ The luteal phase 17th - 28 th day

☆The follicle on releasing the egg becomes a temporary endocrine gland or tissue.
It releases progesterone and lutenising hormone which initiate and sustain the growth of the uterus wall for the egg to be implanted.

Then again if the egg is implanted 'pregnancy' is said to have occurred..else with the flow of mucus the egg is shed..also known as a 'period'.
