The word Metamorphic is derived from metamorphose which means change in form. These rocks were once igneous or sedimentary and then underwent change through physical or chemical processes. The factors that take part in changing the form of rocks are temperature and pressure or both .
There are three types of sedimentary rocks : Thermal Metamorphism, dynamic Metamorphism and regional Metamorphism
