what is microprocessor?

microprocessor

It is a semiconductor component designed by using VLSI technology and it contain ALU (arithmetic logical unit), CU (control unit) and register of CPU in a single package.

Note

For a microprocessor memory is connected externally .
The processor cannot be treated as memory as they are used for holding the data temporary.
