Midday meal is a scheme or a programme of giving lunch to poor childrens by the government schools.

Midday meal scheme is practiced beacuse of the following:-

1. Poor childrens get free lunch to eat so that they don't feel hunger during classes.

2. Many womens get employed in making food for poor childrens. So, the womens also earn money from midday meal.

3. It also gives a reason for a poor child to go to school.
