This, along with other functions, means that mitochondria are essential for normal brain function.

Mitochondria are known as powerhouse of cell they are said so because the energy required for various life activities is released by mitochondria in the form of ATP molecules the body uses energy stored in a teepee for synthesise of new compounds and for mechanical work as ATP instantly provides energy their call energy currency of the cell
