Modulation is the process of combining the low-frequency signal with a very high-fre- quency radio wave called carrier wave (CW). The resultant wave is called modulated carrier wave. ... Demodulation is the process of separating or recovering the signal from the modulated carrier wave

The communication is the transfer of a message from one place to another place. Earlier the communication was through letters and birds nowadays electromagnetic waves act as letters and birds. The modulation and demodulation of the electromagnetic waves play a wider role in communication. In the modulation process, the modulator places transmission signal on the carrier wave. The transmission signal is called the modulating wave. The combination of a carrier signal and a transmission signal is called the modulated wave. The carrier wave has a high frequency and sine waveform. Since the carrier wave has high frequency, the carrier waves can cause damage to the receiving devices. So the process of demodulating the transmitted signal from the carrier wave is called demodulation. The modulating properties of the signals are amplitude and frequency.
