Given Data of the Parallelogram :

Area = 64 cm²

Base = 12 cm

Let's assume the altitude as x cm

According to Question,

Area of ||gm = 64 cm²

⇒ ( Base × Altitude ) = 64 cm²

⇒ ( 12 × x ) = 64

⇒ 12x = 64

⇒ x = 64 / 12

⇒ x = 16 / 3 ≈ 5.33..

⇒ x = 5 whole 1 / 3

As, the altitude is x cm

Hence, the altitude is 16 / 3 cm

Area of parallelogram = Base × Altitude

64 = 12× Altitude

Altitude = 64/12 ≈ 5.33 cm
