What is molarity of pure water having density 1g/ml.

mass of 1 Litre of water will be. = density of water X Volume

=1kg/L×1L

= 1 kg = 1000g

Moles in 1 kg of water = mass/molar mass

= 1000/18 = 55.56

molarity of water = 55.56 moles/L
