Hi,

In Chemistry , Molecular orbitals ( MO ) theory is a method for determining moleculer structure in which electrons are not assigned to individual bond between atoms , but are treated as moving under the influence of nuclei in the whole molecule....i hope it helps

Hi Sister,

Here is your answer,

Molecular Bond Theory:-

This theory was given by Hund and Milliken. According to this theory atomic orbitals overlap with one another to form molecular orbital. The number of atomic orbitals( A.O) overlap will be equal to number of molecular orbitals formed.

The formed molecular orbitals are further classified into 2 types:-

1.Bonding Molecular Orbital ( B.M.O):- They are stable and therefore have less energy they are formed due to '' CONSTRUCTIVE INTERFERENCE'' of wave length.

2. Anti Bonding Molecular Orbital:- It is comparatively less stable and has high energy it is formed due to distructive interference of wavelength.

Each molecular orbital is filled with maximum orbital.

Anti Bonding molecular orbital are different from Bonding molecular orbital using a (Star) mark.

Hope it helps you!
