Monoatomic is a gas.in other way it is only chemical elements which are stable single atom molecules at standard temperature and pressure are the noble gas while diomatic is a molecule which consists of two atoms of the same element, such as Hydrogen (H²o) etc.

HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ❤️❤️❤️❤️
monatomic is a combination of the words "mono" and "atomic", and means "single atom". It is usually applied to gases: a monatomic gas is one in which atoms are not bound to each other. All chemical elements will be monatomic in the gas phase at sufficiently high temperatures.
Diatomic molecules are molecules made of two atoms chemically bonded together. ... The atoms can be of the same element (homonuclear molecules), or of different elements (heteronuclear molecules).
