The light consists a single wavelength is called monochromatic light and the light consists a broad range of wavelengths is called polychromatic light. As for example the white light is polychromatic because it's combination of different wavelengths, blue or red or any coloured lights are monochromatic.

Answer:

monochromatic light is light where the optical spectrum contains only a single optical frequency.

dichromatic is an optical device which splits light into two parts according to its wavelength a form of dichroism. a form of polymorphism, typical in sexual dimorphism, in which two phenotypes have different colouration or ornamentation.
