Hey

More current is always dangerous. But it surely depends on magnitude. Let's consider the situation like 20A is flowing in a conductor then it has to be thick and should have a good cross sectional area otherwise it gets heated like anything and may even burn if it does not contain the minimum cross sectional area.

If 20V is flowing in a conductor then it may not be a problem as stated above. But finally it depends on the power wattage.

Current is nothing but flow of electrons. More electrons more current. In order for flow more current i.e more electrons bigger cross sectional area wire is needed. Its just like water flow if you want to pass more water bigger pipe is needed.
