Cultivation of Mulberry plants are called moriculture. It is used for cultivation of silk from silkworm. Silkworms feed on mulberry plants which helps them to produce silk. The cultivation of silkworm is also called sericulture. It is a commercial fiber of animal origin other than wool and is an eco-friendly, biodegradable and self-sustaining material.
