it means IF WE MULTIPLY ANY NUMBER WITH SOMETHING WE SHOULD GET THE SAME NUMBER here number 1 is SOMETHING
EXAMPLE:87×1=87

1 is the multiplicative identity for numbers as any number multiplied with 1,the product is the number itself
For any number a-a into 1=1 into a=a

Example: -5 into 1 = -5
6 into 1=6
