what is n-2 shell . it's "n minus 2" shell

Here n represents the principle quantum number or the main shell of an atom.n-2 means that the n value is 2 which represents the second shell of an atom.

hananbhat: not it is n minus two shell n -2. it's not talking about 2nd L shell
