Hey there!
Nice question!

National Language of India? Hindi? No. Hindi isnt the national language of India :/ Constitution of India clearly states India, shouldn't have any national language :D

The thing has been a controversy for years.

In all other countries, there is a common language and French people always say 'Bonjour for hello.

But, India is a country known for its rich culture and it have over 1675 languages!! :scream: (22 scheduled languages) So, it isn't obvious that we should choose one as the national language of india being secular! :D

But, 40% of the Indians speak a common language, that is English for it was declared as the official (note that its not national language) language of India till 1965. States were free to choose any official language they prefer.

Well, 1965 passed away and Hindi was made the official language? No. Other states (which constitutes about 60%) protested..!!

Thus, a final solution was declared that 'Hindi, and English, along with the 22 scheduled languages shall be the official language of India

Still, i can't provide you the answer for what's National Language of India 'cause there's none for India being a Secular and Diverse Nation

Hope helped.

Shaswatmishra: bda wala thanks
AkshithaZayn: pleasure and thanks for brainliest :p
