The National Mathematics Talent Contest or NMTC is a national-level mathematics contest conducted by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI). Thirty-five among them from Tamil Nadu and Puduchery at the Junior and Inter Levels have been sponsored to write the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO 2013). From among them 2 have been selected at the national level.

Primary level: Standard 5 and 6, is called the Gauss Contest
Sub-junior level: Standards 7 and 8, is called the Kaprekar Contest
Junior level: Standards 9 and 10, is called the Bhaskara Contest
Inter level: Standards 11 and 12, is called the Ramanujan Contest
Senior level: B.Sc. students, is called the Aryabhata Contest
