National River Conservation Plan.National River Conservation Plan(NRCP) is a centrally funded scheme launched in 1995 aimed at preventing the pollution of rivers. It provoide information of each state on amount sanctioned under NRCP to which city and for what purpose.

National River Conservation Plan (NRCP) is a centrally funded scheme launched in 1995 aimed at preventing the pollution of rivers. It provide information of each state on amount sanctioned under NRCP to which city and for what purpose. Purposes included under the plan are construction of Sewage Treatment Plant, river front development, low cost sanitation, afforestation etc.  It is been implemented in many states . It covered pollution abatement works in 46 towns along the polluted stretches of 18 rivers spread over 10 States. The Ganga Action Plan Phase-II was merged with NRCP in December 1996.
