Hey mate!

Nephrons are functional units in the kidney . These are the functional units present in each kidney for filtration of blood.

Nephrons function through:

Ultrafiltration: filtration of blood takes place in glomerulus and filtrate move into Bowman's capsule.

Selective Reapsorption: It is the process whereby certain molecules (e.g. ions, glucose and amino acids), after being filtered out of the capillaries along with nitrogenous waste products (i.e. urea) and water in the glomerulus, are reabsorbed from the filtrate as they pass through the nephrone.

Tubular secretion: It is the transfer of materials from peritubular capillary to the renal tubular lumen; it is the opposite process of reabsorption.

Hope this helps:)
