A chemical reaction in which an acid and a base or alkali react to yield a salt and water. (immunology) The process of neutralizing a pathogen by antibody acting on the receptors or specific antigen.

In chemistry, neutralization or neutralisation (see spelling differences) is a chemical reaction in which acid and a base react quantitatively with each other. In a reaction in water, neutralization results in there being no excess of hydrogen or hydroxide ions present in the solution.

Answer:

Neutralisation is the reaction between acid and base which forms salt and water after the reaction.

eg, when sodium hydroxide is added to hydrochloric acid, it forms sodium chloride and water.
