Well!!
The reaction between acid and base to neutralize each other's effect.to give salt....is called neutralisation reaction!!!!
Example--------
HCL+NaOH------------->NaCl + H2O
In this reaction you can see that NaOH (a base) is neutralising the effect of acid HCl to give salt NaCl and water!!!!!.....
